The FiremanBrand™ welding blanket was launched in South Africa in 2004 and is a registered Trademark brand.

FiremanBrand™ is a SANS Tested and was introduced as a welding blanket to protect the upholstery, rubber moldings, glass windows and finished sprayed areas from grinding sparks and welding splatter and stored as emergency fire blankets in panel beating workshops.

• Non-toxic welding/fire blanket which does not contain fiberglass nor asbestos

• Non-flammable, light weight welding/fire blanket

• Very low heat shrinkage. For example, a blanket exposed to 240deg.c for 2 hours will shrink by less than 1 ½ percent

• Can withstand temperatures of above 850deg.c without deteriorating or hardening for short periods

• Nonabrasive welding/fire blanket

• Soft and light weight welding/fire blanket which drapes easily over curved and cornered areas

• Protects against open flames, welding splatter, grinding sparks and direct heat

• Easy clean-shake off any swarf or glass and if necessary brush lightly then air dry if contaminated with liquid and odd smells.
